Duty-free Shopping centers are run by the Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (NTO), and they are located mostly in Dhaka City and at all the major airports. Note that most of these shops do not accept foreign currencies and credit cards.

Generally the shopping hours in Bangladesh are from 09:00 am to 20:00 pm Saturdays to Thursdays, and 09:00 am to 12:30 pm and 14:00 pm to 20:00 on Fridays. Most shops in the tourist districts tend to stay open later.
