Visit Dhaka’s Largest Shopping & Entertainment Mall
Promoted as the largest shopping and entertainment complex in South Asia, and the 12th largest shopping mall in the world, Jamuna Future Park is situated on 33 acres of land in the upmarket residential area of Baridhara in Dhaka, with easy access to other affluent areas of the city, such as Gulshan, Bashundhara and Banani. This bustling sector of the capital city of Bangladesh is also home to several large companies, including the leading telecommunications provider in the country, Grameenphone, which is located opposite Jamuna Future Park. Foreign embassies and offices are within walking distance of the mall, and the Shahjalal International Airport is a short drive away, with the new Kuril Interchange leading on and off the busy Tongi Diversion Road near the mall.
While the project is still a work-in-progress, level 5 of Jamuna Future Park was inaugurated on September 6, 2013. Designed by the architect, AJM Alamgir, the mall consists of nine levels. It has lower and middle basements which are reserved for parking, with part of the middle basement allocated to a supermarket. The mall’s five octagon-shaped atriums rise up from the Level 1, with open spaces for live entertainment, fashion shows and other events, as well as some shops and showrooms. From the Ground Floor to the Fifth floor there are a host of local and international brand shops and outlets, along with non-branded shops, banks and food outlets. The Fifth floor also has recreation and entertainment areas, such as seven movie theaters and a bowling alley. The rooftop features two swimming pools, while outside the building is a large theme park with a range of rides, including a rollercoaster.
Future projects for Jamuna Future Park include a 700-room JW Marriot Hotel, a mosque, a hospital complex, offices for both the Bengali newspaper “Daily Jugantor” and the Jamuna Group.
