In Camera at Lalbagh Qilla

Hemmed in on all sides by the tightly packed, old part of Dhaka city, Lalbag Qilla (fort) is a historical evidence of Dhaka as an important easternmost part of the Mughal sultanate based in Delhi. In the midst is housed a little museum of rare artifacts of that period - carpets to coins, weapons to manuscripts. But what amazed me most was the way people streamed in simply because it was the only open space available to chill out on a Friday or Saturday afternoon! The houses overlooking the zigzagging boundary wall actually looked like they were part of the ruins...
