Yaks, Teesta river and Mt. Chomiomo / Kanchenjhau, in Sikkim [01:12]
A yak herder brings in his yak herd from the upper reaches of the Teesta river, in Sikkim, India. The yak, Bos grunniens, is a long-haired bovine found throughout the Himalayan region of south Central Asia. Yaks have shaggy hair to insulate them from the cold. Their habitat is treeless uplands such as hills, mountains and plateaus. They eat grasses, lichens and other plants. The yaks are seen grazing in front of Chomiomo, Kanchenjau and others peaks located on the Tibetan plateau, in north Sikkim, India near Teesta river valley. The total length of the river is 309 km (192 mi), draining an area of 12540 km². A large portion of this was situated in Nepal. But after Sugauli ...

The people living there sell fruits and most of the water-melons and bananas go to the cities from there. While eating a watermelon and chatting with some of the people at the market, he gets a phonecall from the girl. The girl asks about lunch and says that he will find the answer to the next clue when he cooks a traditional dinner at a trekker's restaurant called the roof. Meanwhile he decides to check out the rest of Rangamati and goes to Raajban Bihar, an internationally recognized Buddhist monastery. Every day about three hundred devotees visit the Bana Bihar to worship the venerable spiritualist Bana Bhante, who is the chief monk of the Temple.
