Old Dhaka, Bangladesh Street Scenes Slideshow [02:48]
This is a travel video of random street scenes that I encountered while visiting Old Dhaka, Bangladesh including Bangladeshi food, culture, people and rickshaws. Visiting Old Dhaka, Bangladesh was unlike any other experience I've ever had in my life. It's a fascinating country that I hope to return to in the near future. The locals are extremely friendly. In this video you will notice many random events including interactions with locals, sports such as badminton, parading, labour and other events. nomadicsamuel.com In late 2007 a rumbling occurred deep in the tropical waters of the Bay of Bengal. The pictures and stories that emerged from Bangladesh at that time portrayed an entire nation on its knees, but this was only a half-truth for within hours of the storm hitting, the majority of the country was back on its feet and operational. ADVERTISEMENT This wasn't the first time that Bangladesh had been dismissed as a no-hope nation, and it probably won't be the last. But no matter what the opinion of the wider world is, this dynamic country proudly considers itself to be an active participant in an increasingly global community. In defiance of its ...

Dale Earnhardt Jr, Eat it: Dhaka Fast Dhaka Furious. [06:31]
South Asia has some of the worst traffic and the craziest drivers (and at times the best) in the world. Filming my driver, Shuman, skills as he drives 100km per hour (avg) though Dhaka (in fast forward). I will never worry about NYC cab drivers skills next time I hail a taxi... just put on the seat belt. Here is a little taste....

Gateway to Aizawl city , Mizoram [00:48]
Seen here is a small road opening in Durtlang which not only leads to the main town Aizawl but also various other parts of the state Mizoram. As such it is known as The Gateway to Aizawl. Initially this passage was a narrow alley between two cliffs which led to traffic congestion. However it was widened up by chiseling the two sides using dynamite. The capital state as well as the largest city of Mizoram is Aizawl; the center of all important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat.Aizawl is also the main religious and cultural centers of the Mizos, the ethnic tribe of Mizoram. The city lies just north of the Tropic of cancer and is located at 3715 feet from the sea level. A birds eye view of the city will sure catch the attention of the beholder. Some of the notable places once you get to Aizawl city are Mizoram State Museum, Durtlang Hills, Mini Zoo, Bara Bazar, Luangmual Handicarfts Centre and Berawtlang Tourist Complex. Apart from these tourist sites, the nearby tourist attractions are Bung, Paikhai, Tamdil lake, Dampa Wildlife Sanctuary, Kolasib, Vantawng waterfalls, Champhai, Phawngpui, Saiha and Lunglei. courtesy: mizoram.nic.in Thisfootage is part of the professionally-shot broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest collection of imagery from South Asia.
