7 counties, 10 participants, 10 most popular songs in Malaysia, who will be the 1st PALMA(Pertandingan Akhir Nyanyian Lagu Melayu Antarabangsa)? The 1st Malay Songs International Singing Competition: The Grand Finale will be held in Kuala Lumpur, 4th of December 2011. The competitor winning the first prize can have RM10,000 respectively in addition to the prize-winners' certificates and cups. The Malay international vocal competition is a major Malay songs international singing competition event under the auspices of the Ministry of Information Communication & Culture (Malaysia) and is held for the 1st year organize by National department for Culture & Arts (JKKN). As for the competition repertoire, the 1st PALMA will carry on the tradition of attaching importance to both internationality and nationality. Ten well-known Malay songs will still be part of the competition, including 'Kau Ilhamku', 'Gemuruh, Cindai', 'Dondang Dendang', 'Permaidani', 'Dan Sebenarnya', 'Asmaradana', 'Mimpi Laila', 'Laksamana Raja Dilaut' and 'Belaian Jiwa'. The dog (Canis lupus familiaris[3] and Canis lupus dingo[1][2]) is a domesticated form of the gray wolf, a member of the Canidae family of the order Carnivora. The term is used for both feral and pet varieties. The dog was the first animal to be domesticated, and has been the most widely kept working, hunting, and companion animal in human history. The word "dog" may also mean the male of a canine species,[4] as opposed to the word "bitch" for the female of the species.[5] Dogs were domesticated from gray wolves at least twice.[6] They must have been very valuable to early human settlements, for they quickly became ubiquitous across world cultures. For instance, it is believed the successful emigration across the Bering Strait might not have been possible without sled dogs.[7] Dogs perform many roles for people, such as hunting, herding, protection, assisting police and military, companionship, and, more recently, aiding handicapped individuals. This impact on human society has given them the nickname "Man's best friend" in the western world. Currently, there are estimated to be 400 million dogs in the world.[8] Over the 15000 year span the dog had been domesticated, it diverged into only a handful of landraces, groups of similar animals whose morphology and behavior have been shaped by environmental factors and functional roles.
