Dogs of Asia (Part 2) - Road Junkie Snippets 103 [01:40]
The dog (Canis lupus familiaris[3] and Canis lupus dingo[1][2]) is a domesticated form of the gray wolf, a member of the Canidae family of the order Carnivora. The term is used for both feral and pet varieties. The dog was the first animal to be domesticated, and has been the most widely kept working, hunting, and companion animal in human history. The word "dog" may also mean the male of a canine species,[4] as opposed to the word "bitch" for the female of the species.[5] Dogs were domesticated from gray wolves at least twice.[6] They must have been very valuable to early human settlements, for they quickly became ubiquitous across world cultures. For instance, it is believed the successful emigration across the Bering Strait might not have been possible without sled dogs.[7] Dogs perform many roles for people, such as hunting, herding, protection, assisting police and military, companionship, and, more recently, aiding handicapped individuals. This impact on human society has given them the nickname "Man's best friend" in the western world. Currently, there are estimated to be 400 million dogs in the world.[8] Over the 15000 year span the dog had been domesticated, it diverged into only a handful of landraces, groups of similar animals whose morphology and behavior have been shaped by environmental factors and functional roles. WTC 7 & no comment [00:54]

[Psalm 149] [1] Alleluia. Sing to the Lord a new song; his praise in the assembly of the faithful. [2] Let Israel rejoice in its Maker, delight in their king the sons of Zion. [3] Let them praise his name with dancing with tambourine and harp. [4] The Lord loves his people, He crowns the humble with victory. [5] the faithful exult in glory glad arise from their beds. [6] The praise of God in their mouth and two-edged sword in their hands, [7] to deal out vengeance to the nations and punish people; [8] to shake their heads in chains, and their nobles in fetters of iron; [9] to perform on the court they already wrote: This is the glory for all his faithful. Alleluia. [Psalm 150] Music [1] Alleluia. Praise God in his sanctuary; Praise Him in the firmament of his power. [2] Praise him for his mighty deeds, praise him for his greatness. [3] Praise him with trumpet, Praise Him with harp and lyre; [4] Praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with strings and flutes. [5] Praise him with sounding cymbals, praise him with cymbals; every living thing give praise to the Lord. Alleluia.
