Kirtipasa Jomidar Bari, Jhakakati, Bangladesh অষ্টাদশ শতাব্দীর প্রথম দিকে বিক্রম পুর পোরাগাছার রাজা রাম সেন গুপ্ত কির্তিপাশায় আসেন। তৎকালিন বৃটিশ সরকারের কাছ থেকে তিনি জলাশয় ও বনভূমির তালুক দুই পুত্র কৃষ্ণ কুমার সেনগুপ্ত ও দেবীচরন সেনগুপ্তের জন্য পূর্ব বাড়ি ও পশ্চিম বাড়ি পত্তন করেন। যা পরবর্তীতে দশ আনা বড় হিস্যা ও ছয় আনা ছোট হিস্যা জামিদার বাড়িতে রুপান্তরিত হয়। কালের বিবর্তে ছোট হিস্যা নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়ে গেছে। বড় হিস্যার অতীত ঐতিহ্য হারিয়ে গেলেও সেখানে কমলীকান্দার নবীন চন্দ্র নামে বালিকা বিদ্যালয়ের কারনে কিছুটা ঐতিহ্য এখনও রয়েছে । সংরক্ষন আর সংস্কারের অভাবে বড় হিস্যার নাট মন্দির, হলঘর,ছোট-বড় মন্দির জমিদারদের শানবাধান পুকুর ধংসের পথে। স্থানীয়দের কাছ থেকে যানা জায়, প্রায় দেড়শ বছর আগে কীর্তিপাশা জমিদার পুত্র রাজকুমার কে বিষ প্রয়োগে হত্যা করা হয়। স্ত্রী নিজেকে সতী প্রমান করতে স্বামীর সঙ্গে জ্বলন্ত শ্মশানে সহমরন যায়। প্রাচিন সেই ...

Muslim devotees praying at Jama Masjid in old Delhi, during the festival of Id or Eid. A festival of the Muslims in India. Eid is this auspicious Muslim festival where thousands thronged the mosques all over the country to offer prayers. Muslims offer prayers in different mosques in best of attires. Eid, is a Muslim festival that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid ul-Fitr lasts for three days of celebration (or more, depending on the country) and is sometimes also known as the "Smaller Eid" as compared to the Eid al-Adha that lasts three days (or more) following the Hajj and is casually referred to as the "Greater Eid". Muslims are commanded by the Qur'an to complete their fast on the last day of Ramadan and then recite the Takbir all throughout the period of Eid. On this day joy is reflected on the faces of the young and the old, strong and the infirm and everyone in between. Muslims wear their traditional attire and the spirit is upbeat.
