Dale Earnhardt Jr, Eat it: Dhaka Fast Dhaka Furious. [06:31]
South Asia has some of the worst traffic and the craziest drivers (and at times the best) in the world. Filming my driver, Shuman, skills as he drives 100km per hour (avg) though Dhaka (in fast forward). I will never worry about NYC cab drivers skills next time I hail a taxi... just put on the seat belt. Here is a little taste....

It coincides with the New Year's Days of numerous Southern Asian calendars. In Bengali, Pohela stands for 'first' and Baisakh is first month of Bengali calendar.[1] Pôhela Boishakh connects all ethnic Bengalis irrespective of religious and regional differences. In India, in West Bengal, Tripura and Assam, it is a public (state) holiday and is publicly celebrated in 14th of April every year (or as per the Hindu Bengali calender) . In Bangladesh, it is a national holiday celebrated around 14 April according to the official amended calendar designed by the Bangla Academy. The festival is celebrated according to the Hindu Bengali calendar. The Bengali People wishes one another by saying "Shuvô Nôbôborsho" . Source: Wikipedia

Earthworm following tyre track [01:20]
See this huge earthworm as it crawls slowly and follows vehicle Tyre tracks in Mizoram. According to : en.wikipedia.org Earthworm is the common name for the largest members of Oligochaeta (which is either a class or subclass depending on the author) in the phylum Annelida. In classical systems they were placed in the order Opisthopora, on the basis of the male pores opening posterior to the female pores, even though the internal male segments are anterior to the female. Theoretical cladistic studies have placed them instead in the suborder Lumbricina of the order Haplotaxida, but this may again soon change. Folk names for the earthworm include "dew-worm", "Rainworm", "night crawler" and "angleworm" (due to its use as fishing bait). Earthworms are also called megadriles (or big worms), as opposed to the microdriles (or small worms) in the families Tubificidae, Lumbriculidae, and Enchytraeidae, among others. The megadriles are characterized by having a distinct clitellum (which is much more obvious than the single-layered one of the microdriles) and a vascular system with true capillaries. Mizoram is one of the Seven Sister States in North Eastern India, sharing borders with the states of Tripura, Assam, Manipur and with the neighbouring countries of Bangladesh and Burma. Mizoram became the 23rd state of India on 20 February 1987. Its capital is Aizawl. Mizoram is located in the northeast of India. They are found in northwestern Myanmar, northeastern India and Bangladesh ...

Crowded Dhaka from inside a CNG auto [01:00]
This is Dhaka, Bangladesh. Around Mirpur 10. So crowded. The view is from inside a CNG autorickshaw--looks more like a prison van. Relentless horning of the vehicles hardly bothers the people wandering freely on the street.

Dangerous Road Traffic in Bangladesh [00:55]
Just a small example of how driving is so dangerous in Bangladesh. If I had my camera running through out the journey then I could have shown you many shocking moves by car I was on and those coming towards me. Larger vehicles like trucks and coaches are the biggest culprits in the road.
