This is a slideshow series from a Buriganga river boat ride I took near the Sadarghat in Old Dhaka, Bangladesh. A trip to Old Dhaka is not complete without taking a boat ride down the Buriganga "Old Ganges" river in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Small crafts compete for space on the river front with enormous freighters and other large vessels. It makes for a fascinating dynamic. I took a humble row boat out on the waters near the Sadarghat. It at times was extremely scary as we got quite close to some very large ships. There are fatalities on this river from time to time.
