Kurmitola Golf Club - Enjoy a Challenging Round of Golf
The Kurmitola Golf Club began its existence during the 1950’s, when it was established on the area that became the location of the Zia International Airport. The golf course was moved to Dhaka Cantonment during the 1960’s, providing the city of Dhaka with a wonderful sporting attraction and developing over the years to become one of the top golf courses in Bangladesh. The course was first designed by a architect and golfing enthusiast, but its present layout, which covers and area of a hundred and twenty six acres, was the initiative and design from Dr Sukitti Klangyhisai.
Internationally known, the eighteen-hole golf course is able to challenge even the most experienced golfer. Picturesque landscapes of rolling greens and water features make the course as beautiful as it is enjoyable. Golf carts can also be hired at the golf course and other wonderful facilities that golfers can enjoy, include a driving range, air-conditioned suites, relaxing billiard room, changing rooms, pro shop, restaurants, party and venue centre, international standard swimming pool and health club. The venue centre is able to accommodate approximately two hundred guests, and because of its magnificent surroundings, the Kurmitola Golf Club is a popular location for small functions and private parties. The Kurmitola Golf Club arranged annual golfing tournaments, such as the Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship, where golfers are able to show off their skills and spectators enjoy a day of fun and relaxation. Keen golfers are invited to explore the world of golf in Dhaka and the greatness of the Kurmitola Golf Club.
