went there recently.

i wasnt overly impressed cos its pretty much the same as London, except the people are far ruder than they are here (if you thought that was possible).... and they expect tips for being complete wh@nkers!

has anyone else been there and what did you think?

the only reason why i managed to enjoy myself is because i had great company and a lot of room on my newly acquired credit card to buy new clothes.... i spose ive managed to buy a new summer wardrobe at a fraction of the price i would have paid in london, so that is the plus point of going there..... macys is HUUUUUGE! and bloomingdales is great! (though not too different to our own selfridges and harrods).... soooo many nice things to buy.

but having said that, i dont think id really bother going back there again. its not a city you can fall in love with...

i just went for a 5 day break towards the end of March with my mates.

hey.... wait til you've just graduated and are earning a bit of money, and then you can spend all your spare cash on travelling... unless of course you can convince ure parents to fund a gap year for you (my parents would never have agreed to that!)

im planning on going to either nepal or mexico this summer.... cant decide which one seems more appealing, but i cant wait!

"New York, New York
So nice
They named it twice"
~ Windale Simpson (my uncle)

Ive been to New York every summer of my life. only coz its only a half hour flight away! ey Anisa, you should have come down to Toronto, the flight is only CND$60 which is equivalent to 30 british pounds!! and if you thought New York was cheap...you havent been to Canada. my aunt comes all the way down here just to shop!! and we're more hospitable, multicultural and even our downtown is nicer (tho not as famous!)

you should have gone around July 4th, coz Macy's fireworks are worth the trip (well from Toronto at least).

I might be going to Mexico or Central America this summer too. be careful eh, theres lots of crime in those areas.

my grandparents just came back from Nepal...Ill ask 'em how it was for you.

do come to Canada one day
