BCB announce nat'l team

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the 14-member team of
Bangladesh National Cricket squad which will take part in the Asian Test
Championship begins on August 29 at Multan in Pakistan.
Addressing a press briefing the Chairman of the BCB Selection Committee
Mainul Haque Mainu declared the 14-member national squad of Bangladesh at
the conference room of BCB on Sunday.
All-rounder Naimur Rahman Durjoy will lead Bangladesh while wicket
keeper-batsman Khaled Masud Pilot will co-operate him as the vice-captain.
The other national players who have been selected, are: Javed Omar Belim
Gullu, Mehrab Hossain Opee, Md. Ashraful, Al Shahriar Rokon, Aminul Islam
Bulbul, Habibul Bashar Sumon, Akram Khan, Enamul Haque Moni, Hasibul Hossain
Shanto, Monjurul Islam Monju, Bikash Ranjan Das and Mohammed Sharif.
The stand-byes are: Md. Anwar Hossain, Mushfiqur Rahman Babu, Md. Rafique
and Fahim Muntasir Sumit.
Bangladesh will face Pakistan in the inaugural match of the Asian Test
Championship.
The team will leave Dhaka on August 21 for Karachi, the port-city of
Pakistan to play a three-dayer warm-up match against a selection side in
Karachi which begins on August 22. Thereafter the national team of
Bangladesh proceed to Multan to play the inaugural test match against
Pakistan which starts on August 29.
Bangladesh squad will go to Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka to play
the second test match against Sri Lanka which begins on September 6.
Bangladesh will play another three-dayer in Colombo before leaving for the
Indian city. Bangalore to play the last test match against India which
begins on September 20.
Mr. Mainul Haque said "We are expecting our best possible performance from
our national side in the three Test matches against the world-class sides of
mighty Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India.
Meanwhile Pakistan's prominent batsman Javed Miandad and former world-class
fast bowler Andy Roberts of West Indies are expected to come Dhaka on August
7 and 12 respectively to assist our national coach Trevor Chapel as
specialist batting and bowling coaches for the test team and as well as
Bangladesh-A team.

I know dat Sony TV have coverage of some of da games.

ETV in Bangladesh will be showing all games dat Bangladesh r playin... Wish I woz in BD
