Jnr Boxing: Bangladesh top in U-15 age group

Bangladesh emerged group champions in Under-15 and runners-up in Under-17 category in the South Asian Junior Boxing Championship held in Kathmandu from March 6–10, reports UNB.
India became champions in Under-19 Group while hosts Nepal lifted the title of Under-17 Group in the championship. Bangladesh boxers bagged a total of 17 medals including 8 gold, 8 silver and one bronze. Bangladeshi gold medallist are: Faisal Mollah (U-15), Abdur Rahman (U-17), Asadul Islam (U-17), Suruj Bangali (U-15), Mahmood Ali (U-15), Israfil Alam (U-17), Zahiruddin Bhuiyan (U-15) and Aktherul Alam (U-19). Silver medallists are: Farizul Islam (U-15), Kamirul Islam (U-17), Mohammad Ali (U-17), Safiullah (U-15), Shakil Mamun (U-15), Fazlur Rahman (U-19), Kamal Parvez (U-19) and Nurullah (U-19).
