I've seen Pele on the TV a few times and was never impressed. I mean I've seen many players do that kind of stuff. The Brazilian Zico was ten times better.

Romario was quite fantastic as was Paul Gascoigne, Ardiles, Villa, Van Basten, Keegan Beardsley, Dalglish, Cruyff, Liam Brady and Puskas. But the best by far has got to be Maradona. I've never seen a player with so much talent. He was explosive on the ball. He was a superb free kick taker. Two footed. Could run with the ball from midfield and beat everyone. Was superb with his hands and simply superb from a very young age.

They have clips of him when he was only 15. He was fantastic even then. Pele is nothing in comparison.

Hey! its exaggeration to say Zico is 10times better than Pele.Zico was better know as a defender. He was a good player. And I think Socrates was a much better player with the ball. Platene was taleted. And in no way one can compare Maradona and Pele with Paul Gascoigne, Ardiles, Villa, Van Basten, Keegan Beardsley or R. Gullit.
Romario, Bebeto or Buruchaga r excellent but cannot be described as legends.

Romario was a fantastic player. I don't think Bebeto was as good. Bryan Robson was probably the greatest of them all.

4get da past....... I say dat the likes of Sabastian Veron, Claudio Lopez and Gabrielle Batistuta.... and of course Rivaldo are da best players now.

I personally think that Maradona was the best player of all, but I ain't over ruling Pele as he was pure class himself.

I think Zidane is better than Rivaldo. But the real class player at the moment has to be Juninho and Di Canio.
