Brazil will win 2002. Hope to see them in the finals again.
I do think Zidane is probably the best setup man there is in Football atleast over the last 5 yrs. Loved Romarios play. Wish he was there in 98. Thought R Baggio was great once upon a time. As for Maradona he was great but Pele was better. And achievement should count for something. Socrates and Zico were great players but couldn't get something for the country. As for plain forwards, Owen at his top form is pretty good and he has time on his side.

I also would say Maradona was easily one of the greatest players in the world... slightly edging pass pele.
Both are fantastic. Pele has the upper hand in accomplishing more then maradona, that is winning the world cup at the age of 17 and then captaining Brazil 4 years later to regain the cup... However maradona well, skillfully his the perfect footballing machine, one of the goals (not the hand of god) he scored against England in the 1986 world cup 1/4 finals, MExico, was absolutely without a doubt the best goal ever to be scored in a world cup final..... past 5 or 6 players man.... amazing.. pele was however a leathal finisher.. and his legacy left us the bicycle kick... |
