BCB XI vs AUS XI.
Shaun Marsh cracked an unbeaten 105 runs to see visiting Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy (CBCA) of Australia through to a facile five-wicket victory over hosts BCB Eleven in the second day-night limited over match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday. This was the third consecutive victory for the famous Australian academy against the BCB selections in the limited-over matches in Rajshahi and Dhaka. Chasing a modest total of 236 runs by the local boys, the visitors started cautiously and cruised to the target making 240 for 5 in 45.2 overs. One down Shaun Marsh and opener Daniel Harris teamed up to contribute 130 runs for the third wicket to stretch the team's winning streak in the one-day series. Marsh, who hit a brilliant century against the BCB Under-21 team in a three-day match earlier in BKSP, completed his second century on Wednesday scoring not out 105 off 118 balls with six hits across the rope and one over the rope. Harris made useful 65 runs in 85 balls that featured five boundaries. Ashfaque Ali Rahat of BCB claimed two wickets giving away 52 runs. CBCA: 240 for 5 in 45.2 overs. Marsh 105, Harris 65, Rahat 2/52. UNB adds: Earlier BCB XI scored 236 runs for 9 wickets after deciding to bat first. Skipper Naimur Rahman Durjoy and Sajjad Ahmed Shipon shaped the innings in the middle while Mushfiqur Rahman Babu and Muktar Siddiq did a good job in the dying moments to help the home side post the respectable total. National Test captain Durjoy made a quick fire 51 runs off 41 balls with five fours and two sixes before being caught at long-off attempting a big hit against O'Brien. The dashing batsman completed his fifty, in just 37 balls, playing a sweep shot against left-arm spinner O'Brien that hit the fence. He also hammered two sixes over mid-wicket against O'Brien and Williams. Shipon played a strokeful 68 runs facing 120 balls that featured nine fours, but was dismissed at a crucial stage offering a catch to McDonald at mid-wicket off spinner Williams' second ball in his first over. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI, however, made a bad start as national opener Mehrab Hossain Opee returned to the pavilion in the first ball of the second over off Chaitra. But one down right-handed Shipon repaired the early damage pairing with promising Nafis Iqbal who scored 28 runs off 63 deliveries with three hits across the rope. The patient partnership ended with Nafis caught at mid-off by Chaitra off Sumit Panda Number four batsman Hasauzzaman soon followed him back to the dressing room being run out for naught. Shipon and his captain Durjoy at a stage looked well dug in for the fourth wicket to post the fighting total against the Australian boys, but both failed to keep a cool head. After their dismissal, Biplob (7), Sumit (5) and Saikat went back to the pavilion in quick succession, as the home side slid to 197 for 8 with 6.3 overs to spare. National all rounder Mushfiqur Rahman Babu and wicketkeeper Muktar Siddiq contributed 34 runs for the ninth wicket. Babu scored 30 off 36 balls with a boundary while Muktar, dropped twice, remained unbeaten on 23 off 25 deliveries that featured two boundaries. Pacer McDoald and spinner O'Brien, punished brutally by the BCB willow holders, captured two wickets each. Brief Score: BCB XI-236/9 in 50 overs, Nafis 28, Shipon 68, Durjoy 51, Babu 30, Muktar 23 n.o., extras 18, McDonald 2/46, Chaitra 1/16, Panda 1/31, O'Brien 2/55, Williams 1/36.

Those cheating aussies. They've been tanpering with the balls and bribing the umpires. They've also been taking drugs. And they've fixed the grounds too. Plus they've been poisoning our foods.

Yep we will beat them.
It took Zimbabwe 10 yrs (92 - ??)to become a World Class team (still not there probably). It took Srilanka almost 14 yrs (82 - 96) to reach the world level. Give Bangladesh some time probably even a little longer because they received their Test Status via politics not purely on merit.
