Here is my opinion in the hapennings at Newcastle United regarding Domi (central defender).
As my brother used to study at Newcastle University he used to regularly bump into Didier Domi. Unlike most Premiership footballers Domi has no interest in money. He regularly attended the University mosque after training and only went home late in the evening. As he didn't use to hang around with the other players outside of football the other players possibly thought of him as an odd ball. Recently Bobby Robson dropped Domi from the team and fined him over £50,000+. This was because he did not attend training for two weeks during xmas time. However as a muslim Domi does not celebrate xmas. It seems an even stronger case because he returned to training before the New Year period i.e. after Eid. Now I think that United denied him leave for this period even though he was fasting throughout the month of Ramadan. Does anyone feel that Domi has treated badly by his club or is he a foreign mercenary as many of the press has described him as. He also converted Louis Saha (now at Fulham), who has scored 22 goals this season and favourite for the golden boot award, to Islam whilst he was at Newcastle United. I'm not sure whether Saha still follows Islam but in my opinion Domi is a very sincere honest person.

I hear Saha has a gf - so not sure...
Anyway good piece sis. - i shall see Didier differntly now. I always wondered, had I become a Beckham, how would i cope with Maghrib prayers in the winter, and fasting... I came up with the solution, that I would be so valuable yet choose to play for a small premiership club such as West Ham and get paid less than £50000 a month - in exchange my contract, would excuse me from training during Ramadhan - and play as a subsittute after Iftar - also I would be subsittuted in time for Maghrib prayer. Final thing - I'd wear old style knee length (just under) shorts in accordance with sunnah. I had it all worked out - except for the being good at football bit.

A most interesting sight that would be. Does anyone know about any other muslim footballers in the UK. You see Domi never speaks to the press so we've never heard his version of the events.
I don't think Mustapha Izzet is muslim. How about some of the African players in the premiership. I know that Kanu and Rigobert Song are both christians but what about some of the Nigerian players out here?

Same case with Mustapha Haji . There are some Turkish and North African players, I believ some are Muslims.
