I am doing wing chun (training at a club in central london) but what i noticed is that there isnt many bengalis training in wing chun.
note :i am training at a national organization with clubs everywhere in the uk.There are some indian instructors in my organization but no begali students!!

Are bengali ppl not interested in martial arts?i heard there are ppl doing kickboxing in east london

But it would be nice to see some bengalis doing NHB fighting!!!

i can understand it is hard to train with family commitment (my parents dont approve of my training)-i really wanted to do thai boxing but they wont be happy if my nose is flattened and if i have cut bruises!!
also is it a money factor?martial arts can be expensive!!!
anyways if u guys/gals do martials let me know what system/style?

I took traditional Tae Kwan Do for 2 years. I loved it. I got really busy with work, school, and other stop. So, I stopped taking it. I want to go back. I'd like for my children to take Tae Kwan do too when I have them. It'll fun to take it with my kids. Martial Arts in really unique.

Thumbs up

Martial Arts are good because they are a much more disciplined type of training.....i.e. good for the mind as well as the body. I used to do boxing, and all that does is destroy your brain, but as with everything if you do it properly and learn your lesons well.....

.....there will be no noses to be straightened out, bearing in mind that most of the initial training is done sy sparring

You can **** someone up without ****ing yourself up with martial arts.

Martial art teaches simple self defense techniques, so a 100 lb woman can to defeat a 200 lb man. And sport such at Tae Kwan Do and Kung Fo is not just to teach people to beat someone up either. Tae Kwan do is the best mental and physical exercise I've ever experienced. It is also very spiritual. Yoga doesn't even come close. You think Matrix just showed carema work. You'd amazed how some of those moves are actually factual. Of course not the ones where they fly and jump from a 100 story buidling. Snoop, I'm sure martial arts is irrelevent for you. You probably preffer to beat someone to death with a bat because someone doesn't agree with your opinion. So, keep your ignorant opions to yourself if you haven't experienced it.

calm down, i didnt realise i was chattin to bruce lee, jet li and jackie chan

plus i know the benefits of martial arts, its a good workout, pyshically and mentally, its about discipline..not about harming someone else...its about self defence...blah blah wax on, wax off karate kidz

i just find it to be irrelevent, cant i say that?, im not makin fun of anyone who does it, thats your choice, i hope you get your blackbelts etc etc

plus i dont think matrix just did camera work, i realise some of the techniques used are real and the training it takes to be able to make your moves flow

its all good, good luck to anyone who does martial arts....keep up the good work lol

so how many of you do it for the pyshical work out

how many of you do it for the mental work out

and how many of you do it for self defence?
