Cool

I support Arsenal FC - they are simply the BEST FOOTBALL TEAM IN THE UNIVERSE!!! The way they play - their style - is second to none (except maybe Real Madrid!) Thierry Henry is definitely the best footballer in the world at the moment - no question.

Another thing is Bangladesh football (soccer) team. I live in England and find it really hard to get any information about Bangladeshi football. I try to support them, but i never know when or where they are playing. Don't u think there should be more publicity? - it could only be good for Bangladeshi football.

Feel free to send a reply to this message,
Dave7.

bdesh only play in asian tournaments as far as i am aware..... they dont have much of a following because i think bangladesh is concentrating on nursing cricket to be the national sport at the mo.

arsenal is my local team...... naturally i choose not to support any local team as a result. arsenal supporters cause too much traffic on match days..... gets in the way of my shopping hence i dont like them

There is a domestic league. Top Bangladeshi clubs are Abahoni and Mohammadan. Our local Sylhet team is called Chaturanga. Obviously, it isn't a European-standard or competitive league. You are correct, cricket is the 'in thing' these days.

I take it you're not a keen footy fan, what about the other half?

i didnt know that! my family plays a lot of footie back in bdesh in the sylhet leagues..... dad used to be in the beani bazaar team and knocked out both his front teeth whilst playing for them..... he had to wear false teeth since he was in his twenties! my cousin (who lives in the states now) also used to play for them..... they used to drum up quite a bit of support apparently. i remember going to a game when i was in bdesh back in 1990..... it was really great, though they were playing bare foot, and it was supposed to be some kind of serious league as well!

my other half is mad about football..... he is a man u supporter..... i tried to accuse him of being a glory supporter, but his whole family support man u and he has man u t.shirts dating back from when he was 5 years old, so i think i can safely believe that he is a die hard supporter.

he watches every single game that comes on the telly, even when its teams that he doesnt support playing! he even watches that bloody italian league as well..... im still trying to beat his love of football out of him, but it has now been 5 and a half years so i think i can safely say i have failed at diverting his interest from that sport...... well so far anyway...... there is still time for him to see the light!

anisa you cant stop boys from football. My brother he likes football so much that he even saves up money and goes to games. He supports Man chester united as well. I think he suppots them from when they won the cups and before he didnt. He gets into trouble from my daddy becoz he didnt do that well in his exams for watching live football games.

I think men and football is like a disease (sorry boys) but girls dont get that.

Does your dad still play football in this country or did he stop after he came. I thought bangladesh didnt have a team, what colour kits do they have? I want to know to buy the bangla team kit.

ARSENAL are the diamonds amongst the dirt of the premiership...such as teams like birmingham city aston villa, leicester, and of course manchester utd

football, i was a fanatic wen i was younger, used to love it loads, now i do still like it but not as much b4, well enthusiasm for it is lackin, still a fan tho

i dunno why gals complain about guys likin football, wots da bigdeal

the way i see it is, when were younger, were allways playin football, wether it be on the playgrounds, the park, or streets, for school teams...when you play it properly, you realise how much skill it takes to be able to play aswell like the footballers we watch on TV

theres a reason they call it the beautiful game.
