I cheated a few times in the UK and when I was studying for my degree in the UK I saw lots of blatant cheating. So one can hardly disparage Bangladesh as it is hardly the only country which does this.

I mean at least in BD you're not coached how to take exams and sit through pass papers knowing that some of them are bound to come up in this years exams.

eeeeeeeeeeeeks who would think of cheating over here in the UK espeacially at degree level? The consequences would be fatal!

Going back to the original post of why so many students cheat?

Well poltics and education have been mixed up so much but also people with money abuse the system.

My uncle ( who is 18 and just come over fom Bdesh) told me that the local Awami League leaders son came into the exam room with the whole model answer text book wrapped around his arms and legs with ellastic bands. of course when he came into the exam room he had his gundas with him. the police gaurd moved asside and let him through.

Of course if any of the teachers try to expell him for cheating he would have started a riot with his fellow friends and disrpupt the whole exam.

So party politics and corruption is gaining such a strong hold in the education system that the gifted, weak/poor students will never have the chance to show there potential.

And to think that B.desh has a nobel winning laurette in literature. A world renowned artist and a famous nobel winning physicist "Bose" who I think is bdesh, not 100% sure though, and may have spent time at Dhaka university.

I wonder if such people still exsist in Bdesh?

Maybe that little boy sitting on the fence watching the cows graze and staring up in the at sky wondering? What would it be like to travel on a ray of sun beam? He could go to university and try to find but but what would be the point if couldn't get past the SSC stage? besides he needs to work to feed his family!

Well to have any sort of political ambition you need to be well versed in dishonesty.
