You have to write applications and tell the uni why you want to study there?
We just have to pass our college exams and then we apply for whatever uni/course we want. Each year the education ministry send out the required grades you need for each uni/course (average of all our college grades)and if you have that average you will most likely get a seat. If not your first priority then the second, third etc.
Or alternatively if you only want to go to a particular uni and you didn't get in, you can apply the following year and they will definately give you a seat.

yeap, its looong here. you gotta do a personal statement, then all your teachers have gotta write you references which the head of sixth form and tutor simplyfy and put it into one. if your applications really good, you can get into some unis, with slightly lower grades. only 1 person at school has actually completed theirs!!!
i'm waiting for my brother to send me his, cos he did the same voluntary work as i did so i can nick sme of his lines, and he got in to his 1st choice uni with 4 grades lower than what he needed, cos his personal statement was so good!
