Salam Alaikum...

i'm here presenting a fact due to which the discussion between both the sects don't meet on a conclusion:

1) We talk to eachother with the intention to prove eachother wrong. IT IS A THREAT!!! I think that it is the only reason of the failure of Sunni-Shia discussion!

Both, Shia and Sunnis MUST talk to know eachother well and try to end on a fruitful conclusion as in the case of:

Ayatullah Sharaf Al-Din Mooswi (a Shia cleric) and,
Allama Saleem al-Bashri of Al-Azhar (a Sunni scholar)

Raed "Al-Muraja'at" or "right path" in english!

Wasslam

What is the difference? The four imams had very different methods for deriving Islam law which the others would consider as being void. And why cannot the shia school of thought be an acceptable madhab? Don't just say things without giving any reason.

Some questions (I've asked these before):

Why do we have to follow one of the four madhabs (who said)?

Are the doors of ijtihad open or closed after the four madhabs?

If the answer is that they are open, who has the authorisation to perform Ijihad?

The diffirent is that they NEVER differed about the ROOT, which takes one out of Islam. There differences were on the branches.

Once a Shia told me that Devine Destiny, the Khair and Shar of which is from Allah, wasn't part of the ROOT. What is you view?

First could you define exactly what the root and the branches are from your interpretation. Depending on how you define the root, shias don't differ from it either (at the end of the day Muslims try to follow the example set by the prophets (PBUT)). BTW Just because a shia tells you something is irrelevant to me. Either quote popular shia books or people from this site, don't just talk about your personal experiences. As far as I know ALL Muslims claim we "should" follow the law as was commanded by Allah (SWT). But even when the four sunni imams where around there were different views on how this law could be derived.

My view (and this is my personal view and understanding) on devine destiny is that Allah (SWT) will judge everyone FAIRLY and nobody will get special privillages (be they prophets (SAW), wives of prophets, sahaba, etc). We have all been given free will and are ACCOUNTABLE for our actions (otherwise there would not be any need for a day of judgement). Prophets will be judged more severely because of their status, the wifes of prophet Muhammad (SAW) will also be rewarded double for good actions and punished double for bad.

Make your question clear and I'll try to give a more to the point answer.
