<<<Visiting a grave does not consist in itself shirk. There are "adab" rules of visiting a grave: 1. You say "Assalamu alaikuum, you were first to reach the grave and we will be next". 2. Make Du'a for the person in the grave. 3. Make du'a for all the muslims deceased. 4. Make du'a for oneself.>>>
I agree with all this. <<<If you visit the grave to ask the person in the grave to interceed or for things to be granted to you then you are commiting SHIRK.>>>> How about if the grave is that of a Prophet or that of a Shaheed who is alive according to Quran . How can you call it Shirk? <<<<The prophet did not do it, the shia does it then the shia are doing something that the prophet (saw) did not do then they must be doing something of a BIDA'A period.>>>> How about many other Bid'a like "As Salat o Khairun min an Naum" in morning adhan. Do you know that it was never said during Prophet (SAWW) life. It was introduced by Umar. Do you know this?????

FYI,
You wrote: 1. "How about if the grave is that of a Prophet or that of a Shaheed who is alive according to Quran . How can you call it Shirk?" The prophet has NO power except as Allah wills: read 7:188, 10:49 and 72:21&22. The prophets Shaheeds can not grant you anything it is only Allah who does grant things. If someone who is not practioning Islam the way it should be or he/she is making a living from haram. Do you think that person have more chances to have a supplication granted if they go via a prophet or a shaheed to ask Allah? Then why not ask Allah alone. How do you know that the prophet or the shaheed will hear you? and even if they hear you can they grant you anything? You have to be good and follow the rules of Islam and you may ask me for example to make du'a for you and it is only up to Allah to grant or not to grant things asked for. Do get the picture? 2. "How about many other Bid'a like "As Salat o Khairun min an Naum" in morning adhan. Do you know that it was never said during Prophet (SAWW) life. It was introduced by Umar. Do you know this?????" This is not correct. It was introduced at the time of the prophet (saw) and this how it happened: Bilal make the Adan for Fajr prayer and the prophet (saw) did not come out to lead the prayers and Bilal (ra) went close to the rooms of the prophet and to draw the prophet's attention said loudly: Assalat Khairun mina annawm. The prophet (saw) liked it so much and asked Bilal to make in his Adan. I will draw your attention to what shia introduced in their Adan: Ashhadu Anna Ali walliyu Allah therefore the following question: Can anyone be a muslim if he says: Ash hadu an la Ilaha illa Allah wa ash hadu anna Mohamadan rasool Allah? In 1996, in Kuwait the shia stated that if you do not mention that Ali is waliy Allah your shahada is nullified therefore you are not a muslim. Do you agree? _________________________________________ truth will always prevail over falsehood. |

To be a Muslim it is enough to say: "La Ilaha Ila Allah, Mohammad (SAWW) ur Rasool Allah." This is the original Kalma. Who ever says this with firm belief in his heart becomes a Muslim.

In fact it was Umar who ordered to place "as salat o khairun min an naum" (Prayer is better than sleep) in morning adhan.
"Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the muadhdhin came to Umar ibn al-Khattab to call him to the subh prayer and found him sleeping, so he said, "Prayer is better than sleep," and Umar ordered him to put that in the adhan for subh (morning)." Malik's Muwatta, Book 3, Number 3.1.8 (Note: Malik's Muwatta is available on the Internet)

FYI,
Back to our subject: I posted this to you : The prophet has NO power except as Allah wills: read 7:188, 10:49 and 72:21&22. Do you get the picture? and I must ask you. Did you read the ayats? can answer any of the exclamtions I made here instead of diverting from the subject? _________________________________________ Truth will always prevail over falsehood. |
