bismil rabil noor,
assalamu alaikum,
The leader(khalif) of the umma, ayat khamenei in his last speech supported the palestinian muslims in their struggle and isisted that the only way to freeing quds is by jehad. He said that otday you are inspiring more revolutionay muslims to join you and i give good tidings that victory is near. He declared that the forces of islamic rep of iran, as in the past will continue to support the palestinians and engage with the enemy as in lebanon(the leader does not refer to occupied palestine as israel as he never recognised the state of israel).
Hamas(palestianin islamic resistance) representative in tehran in addressing a rally by volunteer residents of tehran(iran) in support for palestinians said
that the leader(ayat khamenei) has declared that jihad is the only way i also call on our brothers in basij(islamic volunteer forces in iran) and sepah(islamic revolutionary guards, hisbullah) to join us in quds.
it is noteworthy that leader of lebanese branch of hizbullah, under the guadance of the supreme leader ayat khamenei had recently also called for jihad and there are rumours that they are already, in small numbers, engaged in the fighting in quds.
i will try and obtain a full translation of the speech by ayat khamenei soon, so that those muslims who are thirsty can see that we already have a rightous leader/khalif.
wasalam

bisbil rabil noor,
assalamu alaikum,
here is the full message of the leader.
let us follow his message and act rather than remain asleep by daydreaming about a concept that has been given to us by kuffar to keep us just looking and never acting.

Ayatullah al-Udhma Khamenei's statment on the Palestinian uprising of
the
last few days:

In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

The criminal usurper Zionist regime has once again revealed its
ruthlessness and savagery by violating the sanctity and purity of
the immaculate Al-Aqsa Mosque, and by setting out to massacre the
Muslims. The regime has shed the blood of worshippers and shot
and martyred a child in the arms of his father, and, in doing so,
it has repeated the incidents that have characterized its
behavior in the last 50 years. It did all this in the vain hope
that it may be able to extinguish the flames of the ongoing
liberating jihad and the relentless justice-seeking struggles, so
as to pave the way for an abject compromise process and impose
its will even further on those inclined towards this compromise.
However, as in the past, this time too its heinous crimes will
not produce any results and once again its ominous plans and
satanic illusions will be foiled.

In the wake of this inhuman display of mischievous hostility, a
strong wave of protests has engulfed the people of Palestine, and
in general all Muslims and strugglers of the world, and we are
witnessing demonstrations by students and people from all walks
of life in many Islamic countries. As a result, the intifidah has
found a new life, and every day more and more people choose to
traverse the path of Islamic jihad. Today, in their tumultuous
rallies and demonstrations, the alert and vigilant Muslims are
chanting justice-seeking slogans and calling on the officials of
the Islamic states to pave the way for jihad and allow the
Muslims to fulfill this religious obligation, which is now the
only way forward to force the occupiers out of the territories
they have usurped, and to allow the Palestinians to return to
their lands and homes.

Today, the wave of condemnation of the usurper rulers of these
lands has spread everywhere. At the same time, the option of
compromise is becoming more and more discredited as people
progressively realize its utter futility.

Today, we witness the enhancement of the material, political and
moral support for intifidah and indeed all jihadi movements.
Today, the cries of the false champions of human rights are
falling on deaf ears, as the supporters of Israel are becoming
more and more disgraced and discredited, as their deceitful
nature becomes clear to everyone. This has now gone so far that
many of these supporters can no longer stay silent and not
condemn Israel's actions.

Although this ugly tragedy came about with the aim of imposing
the illegitimate wishes and aspirations of the Zionist ruler on
the parties to the compromise process, the brave people of
Palestine will doubtless continue to abhor this process and will
make any progress in this area very difficult. In this way, the
Palestinians will prevent the abject outcome that is bound to be
produced by the compromise process. Praise be to divine
assistance, one day these struggles will bear fruit, the occupied
lands will be liberated and the plundered assets will be returned
to their rightful owners.

The recent course of events is the continuation of the legitimate
struggles of the Palestinians; a struggle which benefits from the
enthusiasm of a young generation which has been educated in the
school of revolution and jihad. This shows that the present
generation has chosen the correct path to achieve victory; a path
which it intends to traverse decisively and resolutely.

I would like to salute the entire Palestinian nation -
particularly the strugglers and followers of the school of
intifadah. I would like to say to you that your movement will
receive more and more support from the Muslims and
revolutionaries as time goes by. You will eventually overcome the
occupiers. God willing.

The Islamic Republic of Iran will proudly continue to lend you
its support to this divine movement and will continue to offer
the prayers of its most pious offspring for your success. "If you
devote yourselves to God, He will help you and will consolidate
you in your path" [Holy Quran].

[Signed] Sayyed Ali Hussaini Khamenei, 6th Rajab 1421; [4
October 2000]

bismil rabil noor,
assalamu alaikum.
dear br, please remove thepart in your question, saying 'i hope you don't take this the wrong way'
it is our duty to take things the wrong way. islam encourages questions. we have to always have 'husne zhan' believe in the other sides sincerity. therefore, i take your question as one from a brother, that you are.
but please read the answer, analyse it and if i do not make sense tell me. after all we are here to find the truth and not force our view with arrogance.
'allahoma ishrah li sadri wa yassir li amri wahlol huqdata lisanee yafqahoo qauli.'

here are reasons why the state does nt openly call jihad.
1-when the prophet s.a.w. was inmedina many muslims in makka were totured and expelled by kuffar. he did not send an army to fight kuffar at that time. why? for the same reason that iran or rather ayat khamenei is not doing the same. because he could not do so. at that time although muslims under the guadance of the prophet s.a.w. had faith and courage but lacked sufficeint strength to meet and distroy the enemy. but when they did have the strength then they marched to makka.
today it is the same. iran could not openly send an army to lebanon but it did covertly send tens of thousands of the so called 'islamic revolutionary guards' to build an army, give training and equipment and join inthe jihad with israel. if you talk to any lebanese they will tell you how they won the war with israel. but could iran do that openly? no. why? because a U.N. force with modern bombers could distroy all technological facilities iran has built ove the last twenty years.
we should see if the leader is honestly caring and seeking to free palestine and if he is doing all what can be done or not.
i am sure that if one day he feels that he can send an army he would not wait for one second.
one way the west can be intimidated in not taking action against him is by overall support of the umma. at that time i am sure that he will declare jihad. just like the prophet s.a.w did when his army grow and not before.
a state cannot become a shahid, in other words the leader has to protect the islamic state and cannot just foolishly throw it to dogs and engage in a war that he knows will distroy the state. that is why the prophet s.a.w. signed the hudaibiya treaty with mekkans who had killed muslims in ohud. simply because the alternative was the distruction of the small state in medina.
insh'allah with his wisdom and hikma and our open eyes and allegiance, soon the time will come.
wasalam,
mahdi

insha allah i will comment on your response.

but another question the following is a part of the iranian constitution.

Article 115 :The President must be elected from among religious and political personalities possessing the following qualifications: Iranian origin; Iranian nationality; administrative capacity and resourcefulness; a good past-record; trustworthiness and piety; convinced belief in the fundamental principles of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the official religion of the country.

This relates to the "qualifications of the president"

so the the criteria for a leader a president which islam does not recognise, there should only be khalifs. He should be of iranian origin, which implies nationalism. So the leader cannot be from any other country even though he is a muslim, even though this totally contradicts the islamic shariah.

what are your comments on this bro insha allah???
