bismil rabil noor,
assalamu alaikum, br you said '..but as brother showkot mentioned you follow the shia school of thought. Now your opinions differ to sunni schools.Although we do not defer in our aqeedah. A lot of the hadiths you have mentioned have been intrepreted differently according to our scholars. So we bro we can throw you hadith and ayah at you, and you will quote hadith and ayah, but we still will not agree. ' your duty is to present the hadith and aya, if i disagree with yuor interpretation then we must think and decide on the one that makes more sense, if we still disagree be it, that does not make us less brothers. but we always have to present our case and discuss the issues. you will see that discussion that is aimed at finding the truth will never benefit kuffar, they may have a short lived joy. 'lil kufr jaula walil islam daula' (for kufr there is short joy and for islam there is an ever lasting state). kuffar are already laughing at us, but it is our ignorance that is shamefull. hope we can discuss these issues and arrive at the truth. i posted many questions, not to challenge you or any brother but to challenge the ignorance within us. there are many questions that if we muslims do address then you will see that we can be more united, brushing things under the carpet only is beneficial to kuffar. not all of us are right and not all the time we are right. if we all stick to that rule then we can have a more open mind to understand the real deen rather than the one pushed into our heads by scholars who have no knowledge or have become agents of oppression. wasalam, mahdi |

Maybe Mahdi and Abdur Rahman follow the shia school of thought, but I am a hanafi sunni like most bengalis. In a previous post you indicated that I was a shia. Maybe you think I'm a shia because I mentioned Imam Khomeini - but did not the majority sunni muslims accept the fatwa given by Imam Khomeini against Salman Rushdie? Does that make all those sunnis who supported Imam Khomeini shias? Also if I remember correctly, Hizb-ut-Tahir often refer to Mohammad Sadr, who was a shia and a follower of Imam Khomeini. Everything I have written is based on the writings of classical sunni scholars, such as Imam Hanbal, Imam Shafi, the authors of the sahih hadith books, Suyuti, Al-Tabari etc. In any case what you and brother Showket have been going on about, ie establishing the Khilafa, is not something the Quran, the Prophet (PBUH), the Imams, the rightly guided Caliphs or any of the classical sunni or shia scholars have placed emphasis on. The majority of sunni groups are against Hizb-ut-Tahir and their idea of confining Islam to the concept Khilafa and of discouraging from people following Islam until there is a Khilafa. Reading throught the speeches and sayings of the Prophet (PBUH) and the speeches and sayings of Imam Ali and the writings of the likes of Imam Shafi and Suyuti and the six sahih hadith books and even the Quran one struggles to find anything which supports the concept of Islam and Khilfa as preached by Hizb-ut-Tahir, Al-Muhajiroun and yourselves. Can you please respond to all the points I and others made in responding to your comments and questions and can you provide evidence for what you say from the Quran and from the sunna and from the writings of any muslim scholar of any school of thought. As far as I can see brother mahdi and and brother abdur rahman have not written anything where the sunni-shia differences are relevant. As muslims we have to back up what we say with the Quran and the sunna. It is very late now - insh'Allah, I will respond to the other postings tomorrow! |
