salaam brothers and sisters
Is America's interest in Bangladesh purely economic or are there any political motives? If we consider that Bangladesh is a signatory to the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, severely restricting her ability to acquire and produce nuclear defence and industrial capability, then the question is why is one of the world's 'basket' cases, unable to get her house in order, so important to America all of a sudden, (re: Clinton's recent visit)? How many peeople are aware that Bangladeshi sands are very rich in uranium deposits - nuclear material, nuclear weapons. Another muslim country with serious potential to develop nuclear capability, major impact on regional politics, and from an islamic angle, world politics. Bangladesh is a muslim country; perhaps the disasters wreaked upon other muslim countries by the major powers maneuvering for political and economic advantage, (not to mention the oppresive regimes all across ruling the muslim world), can be avoided if muslims across the globe were to learn one lesson: AS INDIVIDUALS WE SHOULD STRIVE FOR THE PERFECTION FOUND IN THE EXAMPLE OF RASOOL-ULLAH (SAW); AS AN UMMAH, A GLOBAL COMMUNITY THAT NEEDS SOLUTIONS TO SOCIETAL AND INTERNATIONAL PROBLEMS WE SHOULD STRIVE FOR THE PERFECTION IN THE EXAMPLE OF THE APPLICATION OF AHKAM SHARIYAH IN MADINAH BY RASOOL-ULLAH (SAW). This necessitates; 1. Sovereignty to Allah (SWT) 2. Serious political awareness of the political realities of problems faced by muslims globally. 3. Political judgements on these realities and problems to be derived from the Aqeedah and Shariyah of Islam 4. Tremendous, unrelenting, concerted and co-ordinated effort to resume the islamic way of life 5. To follow the example of Rasool-ullah (saw), paying particular attention to what he did that lead to the establishment of the political entity and islamic authority in Madinah, resulting in the implementation of Laws of the Legislator, Allah (SWT); this being a political fact denied by very few scholars, academics or historians. Jazak-Allah Khairun, Salaam. |

I agree but we also need to be Pious and God Fearing.
We have responsibilities towards both God and our fellow Men. Allah (SWT) says "establish regular prayers; and give regular charity". First bit is the duty towards Allah (SWT) and the second bit refers to our responsibility to our society and the environment we live in. Therefore all political, economical... and Religious/Ritual aspects are all INTERRELATED, one can not do with out the other! |

No, I didn’t know about the rich uranium soil. Thank you.
I worked at a department store a while back and almost all the “nice,” I mean really nice clothes had a tag that said “made in Bangladesh.” These shirts were like $50 and up. I wonder how much the US pays Bangladesh for these clothes? I’m guessing a 1 penny a shirt, if even that. I’m sure if Bangladesh demands more, the US would influence India or Pakistan to take us over. http://www.geocities.com/sabs2379/samourai.gif http://www.geocities.com/sabs2379/SSgenjurostand.gif ------------------ Hmmmmmm........ Close your eyes, I'll take you away from this pain..... Pacific Your Enemies, I’ll take em to their knees. |
