Brother Wais, what a coincidense! This was going to be my topic! You read my mind

My opinion: Mashalllah!!!
Yes brother Wais the people of Bangladesh tend to be more religiously concerned i.e. is one raising his/her finger correctly while saying tashahud during prayer. Is one bending down enough/not enough during ruku/sijdah in prayer etc. etc......
So now you can see that Bangldeshis emphasize more on the itty-bitty details of the religion and not necessarily prayer, it can be any act of worship.

Our attention to detail is impressive, however, I think somehow this contributes to the rise of superstitions. What is most disturbing is that we THINK its makings us more pious, when is reality the acts are not even part of the Quran.

But, Alhamdulillah, I haven't seen people with so much reverence towards Allah and honour for our beloved prophet. Bangladeshis are reluctant to make any compromise when it comes to what to do/what not to do. Very strict people, which in not always bad.

May Allah bless us with more knowlegde and wisdom so that we can perfect our Din. Amin
