My sister used to give donations to Muslim Aid. One thing that really irritated her was that all her mails would be adressed to Mr.... and brother... and her first name is very feminine. Now she no longer reads any mails from them and instead has a standing order set up with oxfam.

So what's ur point, is this a religious issue? Or are u trying to indirectly defame Muslim Aid? These errors happen, even with Marketing Week, a well known global magazine. U and ur sister...no comments except my sympathies with ur understandings abt database and mail merge etc.

Since i was giving them money on a regular basis, they should have done their research a bit well. By the way all their letters, and im sure they don't write them individually for each donor, starts of with 'dear brother...' What the **** is that, don't we sisters exist?
AS for defaming muslim aid? I can't ignore the fact that they are doing so much for so many needy people, why would i try to defame them, all im trying to say here is that i think they should acknowledge their female donors, don't you?

I agree with what u say cos Impact International did something similar to me, they stopped sending the publication even though i was subscribed to it. I wrote to them and made numerous phone calls but they still didnt send the magazine for months. But later, i rejoined and got the publication under a different name. the thing with these ppl is that they are often run by very bz ppl and the companies are short of staff or are comprised of inefficient ppl like the database administrators, thou there are hardworking ppl too. I know how irritated u were but this is where u r tested. U didnt mean to harm Muslim Aid but ur comments did not encourage giving donations to Islamic charities, it did the opposite perhaps. the way to confront these idiots is by trying to improve their work or by being patient. There is no point talking abt these fools here, cos even if they did read our remarks they'd neva understand, most of the times. U may want to write to the head of Muslim Aid and complain, but i can assure u that u shouldnt be surprised by the time it takes to get a reply!!
