Salaam Fatima, first of all i would like to congratulate u on becoming a Muslim and pray that Allah helps u throughout ur life and in the hereafter. It is always good to hear ppl embracing Islam. Welcome also to B.com, i hope u will find it interesting!

I think u will find that brothers like Oshikkitoe, Nur and Abdur Rahman are good Muslims and i am sure they will be glad to help u with any questions u may have. There are sisters like Faz and Khadija, but i havent seen them here for ages, nevertheless u can try emailing them.

I hope u stay well. Take care.

Salaam
Wais

assalamulaikum sister
i am glad that u have accepted islam from heart not because u are born as a muslim. same happened to me. i had accepeted islam not too long ago. and i donot regret any moment of being muslim.
i pray that Allah will make easy for you and guide u to the perfact way of life. sis islam is a practical religion as well as spritiual. therefore there is too many rules for our own benefit. there is rules in every where, even in the natural world. imagine if the universe was not obeying the rules of the gravity and motions than we would be history now. human are not immunue to sin therefore Allah the most kind gave us islam as a way of life so that we can be guided to the truth.
Allah knows the best.

your sister

mashaallah sister fatima on embracing islam. You have now found the guidance of truth. Inshallah now u will find true happiness. You find today that people endulge in material activities such as money, power, glory, assets the list goes on and they strive hard to attain these irrelvant things. They believe that happiness and sucess can be gained from possesing and attaning these material activities whether they are tangible or intangible. True happiness and success is defined by islam as worshipping allah in every aspect of our lives.Islam is not just a religion as u may find it portrayed in the west, but is a deen a complete way of life. Islam has solutions for all aspects of lifes affairs be it social, economical, political, educational. You will find a solution to every area of life. However living in under this non islamic system it is difficult to implement these islamic laws. We ideally need an islamic society whereby to both educate and practice islam it will be much easier. As the common thought, emotions, culture will be all islamic.

jazak allah

Wais, repeatedly deleting my comments to Fatima is no doubt an easy way out, particularly when the real truth cannot be tolerated.

So how's the climate nowadays at fool's paradise ?
