Nationalism related to the bengali and paskitani discussion and all other Nationalist

salaam to all the brothers and sisters who are muslims (regardless of whether they are pakistani or bengali or any other nationality).

I am from bangladesh myself, i do not consider myself as a bengali but as a MUSLIM. This is the only identity we have brothers and sisters. If any of you have any problems with nationalism, then why are you a muslim? why do you follow islam? because the prophet (saw) himself was an Arab. So all you I AM BENGALI'S and I AM PAKISTANI'S etc etc. Why you call yourself muslim?

Nationalism is a concept alien to Islam because it calls for unity based on family and tribalistic ties, whereas Islam binds people together on the ‘aqeedah, that is, belief in Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw).
In other words, Islam calls for the ideological bond.

Grouping together on tribalistic lines is clearly forbidden.

It is narrated by Abu Dawud that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said,

“He is not one of us who calls for ‘asabiyyah, (nationalism) or who fights for ‘asabiyyah or who dies for ‘asabiyyah.”

And in another hadith, the Messenger of Allah (saw) describes the one who calls for nationalism as being like the worm that crawls in the bottom of the dung,

and in the hadith recorded in Mishkat al-Masabih, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said “He who calls for ‘asabiyyah is as if he bit his father’s genitals”.

So brothers and sisters lets not follow the path of the kuffar who unify on patriotic bonds, rather lets unify on the basis of Islam. Just look at the above hadiths of rasuallah (saw) very clear cut and very direct. See how dirty the seed of nationlism is. There are also many ayahs in the quran relating to this filth of nationlism.

This seed of nationlism has been planted into the muslim ummah by the kuffar to disunite the muslims. So far they have been successful. Just look at some of the brothers comments on the muslims from pakistan. We fail to realise that it was the kuffar that instigated the war. And allah will judge those who did injustice, not you and i.

wais and others you brothers need to uproot this seed of nationalism plant it with the true seed of islam. You have raised many ggod points in other islamic discussions, but brothers in this discussion you need to beware of what you say. Lets not be dictated by the kuffar and lets work together to rid this idea of nationlism and other kuffar ideas. I mean just look at what our beloved prophet (saw) had to say on this issue.
