Lately a lot of ppl have been becoming apostates, and are openly and constantly criticising Islam from a very negative perspective. These ppl include Bangali ppl from the entertainment industry as well. Of course, there are these ppl coming out of their hybernation to undermine the religion. They come out with all this Freedom of Speech stuff but never speak out against say the ban on women's headscarves in a 'civilised' country such as France, which has restricted civil liberty now, and perhaps also its three main state pillars: Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.

What is the punishment of Murtaads, and is the punishment only acceptable in an Islamic state, and what can we do to guide them?

Salaam. I do not know what the punishment of Murtaads would be in an Islamic state.

However:

Firstly, there is no pure Islamic state.

Secondly, in an Islamic state non-muslims are allowed to preach. So I expect that Murtaads would not be punished. Bcos it is their freedom of choice.

Thirdly, a Murtaad or even a collective body of them cannot stop the spread of Islam.

Fourthly, in our daily life we face good and evil either directly or indirectly. It is upto the individual to make their decision.

Fifthly, I know the punishment they will receive in the hereafter, HELL FIRE!!!

I am watching Murtaads on this site....

Salaam.

On a related point, i think dhakaiya and some sylheti murtaads are running the bengali press, trying to brainwash ppl with their anti-Islamic garbage.

Salam, this is what I know and correct me if I am wrong.
Punishment for murtads in the strict Islamic sense is that of capital punishment. However the fatwa has to come from a qualified person and it has to be carried out according to the guidance of that authority. In a non islamic environment the rule will differ However if the likes of Salman Rushdie appears then it is a duty upon all Beleivers to act upon the verdict issued by the religious authority where ever they may be and of course whether you want to follow the authority is entirely upto you!
I am sure when a religious authority of standing issues any such orders he wil certainly take many factors inot account such as, the environment, situation, what harm that murtad might cause...etc

Without being a gay also you can screw the mullahs, and that's precisely what some sensible people of Bangladesh are doing at the moment. If you are still not sure, rest assured you'll find out about it in a rather painful way. Keep the ointments ready.
