Wealth, blessing or a curse?

Do you all believe wealth is a blessing or a curse? Many rich people have a lonely and miserable life and some just love the wealth. Are we better off poor or wealthy? What do y’all think?

I think wealth is given to someone who is really being tested by god. It’s like you’re in a classroom and the teacher picks you and asks you a question out from all your peers. How do you answer the question? There is a reason why you have wealth and what do you do with it.

Allah has created us and made this earth for us that is why He sent Adam (A) to inherit this earth; and He has made everthing in it for our benefit, i.e. the benefit of man.
Now wealth is a gift of Allah given to us in trust so that we can spent it in the right way. But one should not get obsessed with anything, obsession or extremism of any sort is haram, Allah has made halal for people to become rich so lomng as they gain their wealth in a halal way. That is why Imam Ali (A) said to a man who was trading but was being unfair, " go and learn abot the laws realtingto Trade before you venture into trade."
The rich are rich so they can be tested, how they spent heir money whether or not they help the Needy and spend in the way of Allah(SaT.)
The poor are poor so that they can be tested for example they are told (as is everyone) not to steal.
Generally wealth tends to make many corrupt and greedy and mean this is because these people feel they do not need God anymore as they have everything but when a little disaster falls on them they go crazy and start saying things like " O God why have you done this to me, " in a very bad way.
Being poor is good in the sense that it generally speaking keeps you humble and simple and most tend to be close to Allah. Perhaps because of their sufferings they will the the firts to go to paradise before the Rich!
