Declaration fo Faith

We all know that Islam revolves around a few fundamental pillars that holds it toghether. One such pillar the very first one is your Belief, or Iman.
For any person to become a slave of Allah the Almighty God (Muslim) he or she has to willingly accept the concept of Allahs unity and glory, and at the same time they have to believe in the Devine Prophethood of the Messenger Muhammad (Pbuh). These two basic concepts have been intertwined in the following statement:

Trans: " There is not Deity (God) but Allah and Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah"
Arabic: " La ilaha Illallah Muhammad Rasool Ullah"

The declaration of the above statement is made as
Arabic: " Ash hadu allah Ilaha Illallahu, wahdahu, Lashari-kalahu, Wash-hadu Ann'a Muhammadan Abdu-hu, Wa Rasoolohu"
Trans: " I declare that there is no God but Allah, Allah is One (and eternal) and Has no Partner, I also declare that Muhammad (Pbuh) is the Messenger and a slave of Allah"

The reason I started with these is because many of us unfortunately do not know them at all, some know it in english but not in Arabic However I am sure many of you know it in both as well. It is important to know these both, the meaning and the arabic, so please try to memorise them as they are very short.

Yes its very unfortunate that anyone born into a Muslim should not know these simple Arabic phrases - they are fundamental for any believer.
