EID MUBARAK to all the readers and users of this service.
The reason for creating this topic is so that we can have a better understanding of what different people from different places in the UK get upto on EID. Well down in Manchester we first visit families after the Eid Prayer then go with our friends out of town and then spend the evening in Rusholme wher you have the largest concentration of Asian Restaurants in the UK along with the three major Universities in Manchester (Manchester Uni, Manchester Met, and UMIST). Wait for your feedback. Thanks Once agin have a wonderful EID. have fun |

So when everyone has finished prayers it's like a stampede in our house- a proper food feast- and the rest of the afternoon is me just being the dishwasher! Thing is, it's the only time I don't mind being a dishwasher cos i like it when everyone gets together.
The evening is left to visit friends and family. Dontcha just lurvvve Eid? |

Okay eid in our family is fun, probably bcoz of my massive family scattered around england. Well fist its usual prayers, then getting loadsa money(eidi) from parents and a bit from big bro (if I m lucky) Thens its off to meet the rest of the family crew… one by one….. all those food is yummy but I 4get when 2 stop so I have a slight problem on eid dayss lol… When we have met evry 1 ere in london…. We all gather together (and by that I mean about 40 ppl) and move the party ova to porthsmouth (heard of it?? ) it takes about 2hrs or so…. Then its off to oxford to meet the step family. By that time its 2 in the morning!!!!And that’s the end of that day. Next day is…..washing up the piled up dishes time!!! Now someone try beating that!! It’s a challenge. |
