"an old saying has it that there are three things we should not discuss in polite company: sex, politics and religion. we dont follow this advice when it comes to sex and politics. sextuality especially in the context of relationships is an everyday topics of conversation. office and national politics are discussed constantly. the third theme alone is missing. next time you are at a party try sidling upto someone, drink in hand and ask"
so what do ya think about god anyway?"
you will quickly find yourself alone.everyone has his own idea about god, we are told. but that is equally true to sex and politics. the truth seems to be that most of us have lost knack for talking about the deepest issues of life. this lack impoverishes our conversation and ultymately our lives as well"

You will find that a lot of people don't talk about religion because they don't want to offend someone elses belief and values.

Also because people don't feel informed or knowledgeable enough to talk about religion at work.

I tend to talk about religion quite frequently and freely at my workplace and people do join in. Try a course in Comparative Religion so that you can learn to respect all religions but value yours even more.
