A fictitious dialog between Pontius Pilate and Judas Iscariot
Pilate: O Judas, are you not a disciple of Jesus?
Judas: Yes. But I betrayed him. Pilate: Ok. Who is Jesus? Judas: He is the Son of God. He is the sinless lamb. Pilate: Why is he here on the Earth? Judas: To be scarified. Pilate: Why is such sacrifice necessary? Judas: Adam sinned. The children of Adam have been inheriting it for generations. He must be scarified so that the Sin may be redeemed. Pilate: God can forgive Adam and his children. Judas: In that case God’s justice breaks down. Justice must prevail along with His Mercy. Some one must be scarified. God chose to sacrifice His Son and do mercy to mankind. Pilate: Is God himself going to hang or crucify him on His own? Judas: No, the children of Adam will do it. Pilate: Should I not do it? If I decline and every other child of Adam declines, how can the Sin be redeemed? Judas: That is the reason why I betrayed. And that should be the reason why you should not decline. Pilate: But I see no fault in Jesus. Roman Justice shall break down if I crucify innocent Jesus. Judas: Then free one of your convicted criminals. And substitute Jesus there. After all, God chose to do the same. Pilate: O the Romans! The bearers of the torch of civilization! You had been killing the barbarians in the forests to civilize them. Now let you put the Son of God on the altar of Sacrifice to redeem the Sin of mankind. You had been enlightening mankind; now make them Sinless. The Romans: Oh the Father of the Son! Bear witness! We are going to fulfill Your Wish.
