Buddhism is an agnostic philosophy of life. Did you know that Einstein once said, If there is any religion that copes with modern science it is Buddhism.

I like Buddhism. The only (minor) problem is it is rather pessimistic a philosophy. Too much sadness - life is full of sorrow, no happiness.

Hinduism, which is again hardly a religion, is better in this manner, despite other serious drawbacks in it.

Btw, i dont accept karmic cycle. Its totall crap...just like 72 houris in next universe!!

It is not Pessimistic -

1. Life means suffering.
2. The origin of suffering is attachment.
3. The cessation of suffering is attainable.
4. The path to the cessation of suffering

See point No. 3, It says there is a solution for that and point No. 4 explains the path.

Yes Karmic theory was required those days to explain the unexplainable - "why does a man suffer and another man enjoy" and
secondly to keep human beings on right path, which may not be required for a matured man.
