We all agree this is a very important issue to be discussed.

So lets discuss on a respectable level, and put all this bad karma behind us!

everyone shake hands and move on..... no grudges!

I'll let someone else take the floor first.........

That's the way to do it....

I agree with your sentiment's anisa and am ready to abide. :)

This is an issue facing many young Muslim's today. It needs to be discussed in a sensitive and understanding manner.

Merely telling someone they are in the wrong is not the way forward. We must make a deeper analysis of why this is happening, what are the consequences for us as individual's and a community and possible solutions.

wow. an investigation concerned with wisdom?

what do the right honorouble ladies and noblemen beleive the purpose of marriage to be in the jannah scheme of things?

and what do they also think of the relationship between the hearts of men and women.

theres this bit at the end of a surah, where Allah says that no soul is burdened with a trial that it cannot bear.

Extreme scenario - but the image of a Muslim woman wearing loose clothing and head covering, walkin alongside a Hindu husband wearing his equivalent religious adorning (maybe with ceremonial markings on his forehead) - then for each to part and perform the most important feature of their life - worship - separately? whereas there surely isn't a more beautiful image than a husband and wife who love each other, who then proceed to worship/pray also alongside each other.

Picture the Bollywood film, we're half way through - Prabhu Deva has just done his Mr Elastic routine to the latest A.R. Rehman No.

Then we cut back to the main plot

two children - Abdul Karim and Sanjoy - run up to embrace their mother, Asma (played by Aish. - who incidently looks good with headscarf on)..

"Mummy why haven't you gone to Hajj yet - Samira's whole family are going next week?

"Because i need a mahram, beta"

"but i thought dad was ure mahram, that's why Samira's dad's going to Hajj again

"but your father isn't allowed to go to hajj"

"why cant he go to hajj, what's wrong with him?"

"there's nothing wrong with him, it's just he follows a different religion?"

"so are Hinduism and Islam, the same thing or is one better than the other?"

"we respect both faiths?"

"ermmmm, riiiiight  - so if Hinduism and Islam are both equally as good, then why dont you and dad both choose on one faith and practise it? wouldn't that be easier?"

"life is never easy, shunamoni"

"o and one more thing mummy, next time we go to the Mosque to pray, can i sit with you, coz it's scary sitting all by ourselves in the men's section"...

It seems to me that we human make our own division without the need for Satan to enter into our hearts, we have a curdling hatred of peace. We have not gained control of even our dreams so how can we control with whom we fall in love?
