ISLAMS VIEW ON ACTING/MODELLING

I JUST WANTED TO KNOW ISLAM VIEWS ON ACTING AND MODELLING.I TAKE PART TIME DRAMA IN COLLEGE.AND HAVE THE CHANCE TO TAKE IT SERIOUSLY BUT I MUST FIRST KNOW ISLAMS POINT OF VIEW.

why not try to look in the Quran...

I find no problem in it. I am a designer and 3D character animator myself. May be in future I might become a movie director (who knows ).

But According to traditional believe I have bought hell for myself already

Why do muslims have such a bif thing against animation, teddies, dolls etc? it aint like we gonna bow down and start praying to the things, is it? Is there any kind of reason behind it..... one of my friends even doesnt believe in having photographs taken, cos apparently they are haraam (lol).

You've made a very good point sister.

According to Islam there is nothing wrong with pictures or toys. The problem is that some Muslims like to innovate (do bidah) by making haram what is halal. Instead of following the Qur'an and the sunnah, they add their own opinions to Islam, making it so strict that they can't even practice it themselves. For example, even though we have been ordered by Allah (SWT) to pray 5 times a day, some people make it "obligatory" to pray more by insisting that we pray the sunnah prayers as well. Doing this is bidah because we are changing the religion by making something sunnah become fard.

Narrated Said bin Abu Al-Hasan:

While I was with Ibn 'Abbas a man came and said, "O father of 'Abbas! My sustenance is from my manual profession and I make these pictures." Ibn 'Abbas said, "I will tell you only what I heard from Allah's Apostle . I heard him saying, 'Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it.' " Hearing this, that man heaved a sigh and his face turned pale. Ibn 'Abbas said to him, "What a pity! If you insist on making pictures I advise you to make pictures of trees and any other unanimated objects."

Narrated 'Aisha:

I stuffed for the Prophet a pillow decorated with pictures (of animals) which looked like a Namruqa (i.e. a small cushion). He came and stood among the people with excitement apparent on his face. I said, "O Allah's Apostle! What is wrong?" He said, "What is this pillow?" I said, "I have prepared this pillow for you, so that you may recline on it." He said, "Don't you know that angels do not enter a house wherein there are pictures; and whoever makes a picture will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked to give life to (what he has created)?"

I heard Allah's Apostle saying; "Angels (of Mercy) do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or a picture of a living creature (a human being or an animal)."

Narrated Busr bin Said:

That Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani narrated to him something in the presence of Said bin 'Ubaidullah Al-Khaulani who was brought up in the house of Maimuna the wife of the Prophet. Zaid narrated to them that Abu Talha said that the Prophet said, "The Angels (of Mercy) do not enter a house wherein there is a picture." Busr said, "Later on Zaid bin Khalid fell ill and we called on him. To our surprise we saw a curtain decorated with pictures in his house. I said to Ubaidullah Al-Khaulani, "Didn't he (i.e. Zaid) tell us about the (prohibition of) pictures?" He said, "But he excepted the embroidery on garments. Didn't you hear him?" I said, "No." He said, "Yes, he did."

Muslim, Book 024, Number 5246:

A'isha reported that Gabriel (peace be upon him) made a promise with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) to come at a definite hour; that hour came but he did not visit him. And there was in his hand (in the hand of Allah's Apostle) a staff. He threw it from his hand and said: Never has Allah or His messengers (angels) ever broken their promise. Then he cast a glance (and by chance) found a puppy under his cot and said: 'A'isha, when did this dog enter here? She said: BY Allah, I don't know He then commanded and it was turned out. Then Gabriel came and Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to him: You promised me and I waited for you. but you did not come, whereupon he said: It was the dog in your house which prevented me (to come), for we (angels) do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.

Abu-Dawud, Book 1, Number 0227:
Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib:

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Angels do not enter the house where there is a picture, or a dog, or a person who is sexually defiled.

well there are more hadith in which pictures are strictly made unlawful.

But No such rules about pictures can be found in Quran. So it makes these hadith narrators to be lying about prophet muhammad.

AS LONG AS IT DOSE NOT STAT IN THE QURAN THAT IT IS WRONG I WILL CARRY ON.BUT I GOT TOLD OFF BY THIS GUY FOR DOING DRAMA THAT IS WAY I ASKED.AS U CAN SEE IAM NOT A RELIGIOUS GUY.BUT IVE SEEN MUSLIM PEOPLE SMOKE WEED AND DRINK SURELY THAT HAS TO BE WORSER THAN ACTING AND MODELING.
