Thumbs up

Hi there Sabina, my point on arranged marriage, i reckon it's cool as long as you have the last say. As it is you who has to live with the person the rest of their lives. Marriage break ups is happening too much now in our society and it kinda scary. However love marriages have the similar outcomes like arranged. i have many mates involved in love marriages going through difficult times. it's after your married you get to know the so called other side not before. Theres break ups on both sides Arranged & Love Marriages

if i had my way i'd stay a Bachelor more fun and no strings attached. But on an Islamic view i know that half of my religion evolves around marriage

Peace and hope everyone finds the right partner

Wicked

FAO: AHAD (sasa?)

I just wanted to say, that the way you phrase your ideas, you sound a lot like one of my uncles! (Which is not a bad thing!).

Anyhow, continue all with the comments, I really appreciate it!

Hey Sabina....i didnt get to read all of what u wrote....but i noticed the mariah carey part...(Im a fan)... I bought the 1s album from Eastern Plaza- a shopping Mall in DHaka..(they have those too in Bangladesh)... i bought that before it was even released in UK. Communication problems...hmm....many of my cousins speak as good ENglish as I do (some better!)

SOmething about social upbringing.... i guess u havent seen many Bangalis in Bangladesh recently..? However.... I think you are right, and you are more likely to find what you are looking for over here in uk. My point is... dont write off guys from Bangladesh... or stereotype... I'm sure if u went to Dhaka, and mingled with the youth of today there, maybe you wil be impressed. The days where a man wants to be just the breadwinner has long gone...you say u want to "continue with the usual....goin to the cinema.... contiuing with your studies... " no offence, but someonme from Dhaka would find u boring if thats all of ur 'usual', and i doubt a husband from Bangaldesh would want you to stop doing that.

Anyways.... thats enough of me defending Dhaka boyz and girls! c ya later...
Allah Hafiz.

(good luck Sabina)

Hey Wicked..

Waddup bro? .....wat u reckon about this marriage stuff, i mean would u rather get married over here or back home?

Personally, over here in UK i dont think arranegd is a good idea. No offence to all you sisters out there...but if its an arranged marriage...and its over here... you could end up with a slapper couldnt you? I mean...i wouldnt have known her, or not for long anyway, and we all know how easy it is for us asian kids to seem so innocent at home and around your family.....but stil be able to get upto allsorts. If you find your girl urself.... at least you know her well.

I think back home...slappers are known! i mean... kids dont seem to hide stuff from their parents, or elders (from my experience)
Many of my cousins back home have got girlfriends...and their parents are cool with it....I was in shock... my mum would kill me if i had a girlfriend...

If you get married back home, arranged or otherwise,..... your family does proper research...like find out everything about the girl. SO your less likely to get with a slapper....

You know, i feel so bad/ashamed when i see a Bengali girl over here in UK who's 'easy'

anyways....im goin now, take care people..

ps... wicked: stop blazin' man, it aint good 4 ya!
