I think not.
It was said earlier that acting, filming is haram. But I think now the "shariat rule" has revised and said that you can do it. This year CNN telecasted some programms on Hajj from Makka. They were interviewing some women also. This proves that filming is not haram but it should be "within limit". Take care. |

Films and videos that are "educational" helping one develop and become more knowledgeable is now acceptable. Using TV and Video as a means of spreading the "message", spreading Islam and helping people to understand Islam can only be beneficial.
Millions of people will not be able to picture scenes at Hajj unless they see it on Photo's of videos, or listen to others who have been on the journey. Howver what is not acceptable is when we spend hours entertaining ourselves with fims and music and cinemas which is wasting precious time that could be devoted to seeking knowledge or doing something more constructive. I for one would put my hand up and say that I use media as aa means of relaxation and it is not right. I hope that Allah will forgive us for this as many of us do it. I hope this answers your question Afsar. PS Singing is allowed in Islam providing the only instrument used is a drum. Regards Ahad |
