WHY DO PARENTS OBJECT TO BOY/GIRL FRIENDS

I WONDER why parents object to boy friends/girl friends, then how else is love marriage possible ok u gotto know the person somehow.

so why do parent find this a problem????

Well first of all I'm sorry about what has happened to you Aff.

I'm fortunate in that I live away from home so I don't get my oarents nagging me.
Although my mum doesn't mind as I tell her everything I get upto and she seems to be cool about it. I suppose that she trusts me not to do anything stupid.

sorry to ruin it ppl, but the reason ur parents object is coz ISLAMICALLY it is HARAAM......clear and simple. im not suprised , as parnets do seem to tell u not to do somethings , but never say y....
I'll back it up with Quraan and Hadith, by the way, (and i am sure Farhana will too)so u can rest ashore that i am not speaking my own view............

Umm okay firstly as Khadjah said, IT IS HARAAM TO HAVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE OPPOSITE SEX (OTHER THAN UR HUSBAND/WIFE AFTER MARRIAGE ). Ur suppose to lower ur gaze when someone from the opposite sex is around therefore keeping urself from falling in love with that pretty face!! Hee hee. Allah has said that if u have fallen for a person (IN LURVE) then u should ask ur parents for permission in marriage QUICKLY! Bcuz it is very hard to keep urself from doing something naughty.

Aqaiyum u asked "then how else is love marriage possible". Who said love marriage is allowed.??? Okay its true that u gotto know the person somehow. When its time to get married.. u should look for a girl u like (and jus look, nothing else). When u've found 1 u could sit down and talk to her about how u see life and other things that r important. Even that's not allowed on ur own so u have to have someone around because u cannot predict what hormones can make u do! Its best to have a lil bro or sis around.

Do u guys want some of the reasons why its not allowed in Islam??? u know having a boyfriend/ girlfriend stuff??? Lemmi know so I can type tonnes more stuff 4 u. LOL

And pls don't bite my heads off if u don like something I have typed. And khadijah if there is an error somewhere do let me know as I am in a rush and don know what I'm typing.
