Assalamualikum wr wb
No real reason for posting a new topic, except becoz i felt like it. its 4.44am and i was just wondering how many ppl are actually going to wake up for fajr salah today...? The birds are singing/praying outside and i havent been to bed yet. I think as Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, we should be able to educate our ppl...as some seem to lack the knowlege and talk innovatively..which is wrong. Neway, some one pick a topic to discuss and we can all try and answer the question, or just debate...we can learn a lot...InshAllah. Wake up and pray now, pumpkins. You are all in my prayers. Wassalam Khadijah. ------------------ |

Assalamualikum
Its is interesting that someone is considering religion to say the least, i suggest it would be better to post a topic in the open Board rather than personals where everyone is blabbing on and on. Anyway i would like to understand the status of women in islam, especially when a mutual understanding is required. Simply who should do what say what and so on. Coz there are a certain amount confusion involved, or even some are unware of what a person is expected of under the Sharia. Khuda Hafiz and take care. ------------------ Abs |

assalamualikum bro.
I have little time, so will disscuss your chosen topic later tonight. As for placing this topic on Islam in the "personals" section.....i understand what you are saying...ppl do seem to talk of some inappropriate things, although dont you think one of the reasons for this ummah loosing touch with Allah and Islam and all types of faith, is due to us drawing a line....... |

between religion and "life"?
Some people say religion and politics dont mix......Islam is not just a religion, its a way of life, so how can you separate one of the issues of life from the way of life? Islam should be every where, all the time and i dont think there is a right or wrong place for it. However, i get your point and if you would prefer it if we moved to the open board...i have no problem with it inshAllah. Talk to u soon, Wassalam Your sista in Islam Khadijah ------------------ |

Assalamualikum.....
HEy SOOOOOOOORRY, i wasn't having a go at you Aqaiyum, i was just chatting generally....so, no offence.assalamualaikum brother Aqaiyum……………………… Men are the protectors and maintainers of women. because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard: for Allah is Most High, Great(4:34) Wassalam |

assalamualaikum wr wb.
Read this, it makes the position of women in Islam quite clear, inshAllah….. “Woman was made from the rib of a man, she was not created from his head to top him, nor from his feet to be stepped upon, she was made from his side to be close to him, beneath his arm to be protected by him, near his heart to be loved by him” Hope that explains some of it, although, as I am sure you know, the issues of “women” and their position in Islam, is a broad topic. Maybe, you could pick a specific subject…? Wassalam, take care From your sista in Islam Khadijah :0) |
