at our restauran, we get majority white customers


these white people come into a "INDIAN" reastaurant

the staff are all "BANGLADESHI"

yet we are all labelled "PAKISTANI'S"


i mean how stupid can some ppl be man



they find it so hard to tell the difference between us

and if anyone says we lookalike, i swear these ppl are blind aswell as dumb

Well I thought you were going to tell us where the mythical weapons of mass destruction were. lol.

The problem is that its sort of our fault aswell for calling them "Indian" while most are owned by Bengalis. Why dont we try and change their names so we dont confuse them (but then they wouldnt be so trendy i suppose).

Maybe this thread shouldve been called "Signs of mass confusion" instead.

As far as telling us guys apart, its difficult for them. There are psycological reasons why a white person cant distinguish between us.

Try and tell the difference between the black people in various parts of africa. We cant do it but when you speak to black people from africa (like i did at uni) you'll know that they can differentiate amongst themselves.

It depends on what you see growing up, the part of your brain responsible for facial recognition is the most devloped when you are a new born and stays that way untill your about 7 or 8 months old before the number of neurones there start to diminish. We then only retain the ability to recognise the faces we noramally see i.e asian for asian kids, white for white.

experiment with kids about 3 months have shown that they can even distinguish between different chimps e'g they can tell two or three chimps apart from seing their photos (something most adults cant- to us most chimps look the same).

I know that this was an extreme example but it illustrates that its not really white peoples fault for not being able to tell the difference between us. (to mee all chinese people- men and women look alike).

So when you hear a white saying that they cant distinguish between us guys and pakistanis etc theyre not being tight, its just they normally cant.

Actually I can tell the difference between a Paki and a BDeshi cause I work with all different kinds of people--and some of it has to do with attitude too. Also, some has to do with some of my family and friends lived in BD for awhile.
But how come no one can tell the difference between white people? Whites are lumped together into one category; some are Spanish, Russian, European (east or west), Austrian, Australian, etc. When I ask some Indian (east) where are they from they say, "I'm an American." Some actually were born in Canada.
Everyone in the US is from somewhere else unless they are Native Americans. We all have stories to tell about our great grandparents "coming over".
But I'm sorry the whites you deal with sound so dumb! They don't sound very intelligent to me.
As for me I wonder if anyone here at BD.com would like me at all if they saw me since I'm white.

i dont hate white ppl, i just think alot of them have alot to learn and as for the racist ones, well its eye for an eye, if they hate me, i cant be expected to be so compassionate just because there anotha human being

Jody: I wouldn't dislike you because your white, you sound like an asian person in a white persons body.

What really gets me p1ssed off is the mass stupidity I see among the nnatives of this country. For a supposedly enlightened country, there are too many thick and daft b@stards around. These are the typical "readers" (most have a reading age of 9 apparently) of "newspapers" like The Sun (more pictures of boobs than writing).

The amount of ignorance and stupidity I hear on the radio from some thick white men is beyond belief. One of the suggestions I heard was on Talksport radio where one stupid white man said that we should threaten people in guantanamo, and that if they didnt co-operate with the authorities, they would be executed and buried wrapped in a pigskin.

This daft white guy thought part of the Muslims belief was that you never entered into heaven if you got buried in a pigskin. I mean duh ????????

Who do you know that gets buried in pigskins?

Sorry for any egotism on my part in thinking any of you might not accept me because of my skin color. I certainly don't want to get into the mental framework of thinking, "This is all about me."
I'm sorry SNOOP has to deal with thoughtless, ignorant people, but to some extent it's inherent in the restaurant business.
I too have to deal with behaviors from all kinds of people from all walks of life. Once a young Puerto Rican lady who was hospitalized because of heart arrhythmias due to cocaine injestion. She was never happy and refused to eat hospital food. Her family brought food into her, but she was unhappy because it wasn't the right temperatue when she decided to eat it. She overturned her bedside table with the food crashing to the floor. I rushed into the room thinking the patient may have collapsed or something went wrong. She saw me and punched me as hard as she could in my chest knocking the air out of me. The psychiatrist who came in to evaluate her told me that she had a history of breaking bones in her hands from fighting with others.
This world if full of people who seem to be less than human beings. Each day I wonder how to get through to people and do something myself to make the world a better place. I hope you haven't been hurt too bad SNOOP by stupid white people. But I know your resiliant too.
