yea most pranks r like dat. wen u tell sme1 they just look at u as thop ur stupid, coz wen u tell the story it aint as funny.

ill tell u the worst april fools joke tho that sme1 done-which wasnt very funny at all. my cousins rang up me sassy n told her that me dad had a heart attack n then ma cuzzin told me abt it n she was laughing abt it. if she expected me 2 laugh at that, she must 1 very sick person!

It may be haram to adopt the ways of non-muslims if its not already part of your culture, but I dont see how we all have to be sad on a day because Muslims died that day.

Muslims die every single day in tragic circumstances, some at the hands of other "muslims" too. Does that mean we have to be sad all the time? Everyday?

i dont think thats what she meant

its not like, say i die today, then everyear on this date you should all be upset and not happy

i think she's referrin to the loss of alot of muslims lifes on that day

this is what i heard..

years ago in spain, muslims were prominent, and some people killed alot of these muslims, and laugh about it, hence referrin to april fools day, like takin da piss out of muslims

Muslims had been driven out of spain since the crusades when king richard (lionheart) drove them away. The Muslims were under the command of SalahUddin (saladin) at the time.

The Islamic empire- the Usman empire (ottoman empire) came to an end about 80 years ago, when warring fckin arabs who were greedy (including abdul aziz- the father of the present king of saudi) attacked it so that they were able to carve it into pieces for themselves. I'm pretty sure the Usman empire didnt collapse on april fools day. And also april fools has probably been around for longer than 80 yrs.

And as far as Muslims go, Islam asks us to not observe prolonged periods of mourning. I'm sure that the big G wouldnt want us to be sad because some Muslims died about 700 years ago.

But I still dont see how some Muslims being killed can lead to a day being called "April fools".

If these Muslims did in fact die, then they will have become true martyrs and for that reason alone we should celebrate them becoming so.

I think this is an urban myth and we should expose it.
