like erone else said, if he wants 2 be one n is willing to go through the study then he should go for it... but if da only reason he wants 2 be one is cuz pplz think its a good career n u make lots of money n he thinks its gonna be easy n all, then he is going to be in a shock...

its all up to him, no one can tell him wat he is capable of..
personally i never found life science/ medicine to be of any interest, but dats just me... i hated all ma bio classes, they were just as bad as english class:S yeai know i am weird, but i prefer physical science, like chem/math over anything else..

Ali I didnt relise phmarcy dat long 5yrs? so u still studyin or finished? dat career ting thought ur a brown guy so u dont hav a much chance.
Yes due to the UK joining the EU, we've have the pharmacy courses throughout standardised. Now its composed of 4 years of study and 1 year pre-reg placement. Now to be a pharmacist you need a masters while before a batchelors was enough. Just another way the EU has screwed us.

I wouyldve finished and qualified last year but had to take time off due to personal problems. Going back in september to finish it off.

What's the actual course like and most importantly is it interesting. The thing is i wanted to do medicine aswell but i dont fing being a doctor is the fing for me cos i feel that it's too much work and im too lazy.
I'd say that you should only do the pharmacy course if your desperate to become a pharmacist. The course is demanding and long, but at the end you will earn pretty good money and you will have a job almost guaranteed. Other courses may be easier/shorter but pharmacy is probably the one where the graduate employment rate is the highest.

The course is composed of biology, chemistry, physics, pharmacology/physiology, pharmacognosy (plant sciences) psycology, sociology, abit about law, communications. etc You wont get bored but will have to work quite hard.

But then again if its easy to achieve, then it wouldnt be worth anything.
