I know religion is about faith and you're supposed to believe in god and care about him/her more than anything else; I mean it's the first pillar of Islam right? And although I would like to do that (because I think religion can be a great source of comfort) I just find it easier to care about something that I can see. I mean, god may or may not exist, but child labour does! There may or may not be a heaven, but it is entirely too true that of the approximate 24,000 ppl that die everyday of hunger, 3/4 are children. Besides, I don't think terrorists value the word of god at all. I think they are violent people who need to act out their violence; religion is simply used as a scapegoat! So, in that sense I think the statement is false. I mean, if it wasn't religion they were using as their excuse it would be some other crap...terrorists have little to no value for human lives, innocent or otherwise.

Well you can love Allah and love kids too, part of faith is that all children are innocent. And if you are a Muslim then you would believe that Allah exists, so does heaven and hell.

And just so you remember that the countries responsible (either directly or indirectly) for the starvation arent Muslim countries. I find it absolutely disgusting how in the EU, we have farmers being paid to not farm because we have too much food in reserve.

If you can blame anything for this, dont blame the big G, blame the beaurocrats etc and politics for those deaths.

But if you loved Allah and obeyed His commands then to be good to kids is part of his wishes. Therefore just by obeying the big Gs wihes, we can sort out everything else.

Hence we do not see who we step on on the way to the top. It doesn't matter who we backstab, push to the side as long as me, me, me get what I want, what my heart desires...

If you turn the question around and say, if people truly cared about Allah, then surely there wouldn't be so many tears shead and so many horrors experienced.

Believing in Allah teaches us not only love for our Creator, but also love for our fellow beings. If we followed the teachings of Islam the way they should be followed, then there would be peace. Chidlren wouldn't be maltreated to the extent they do, women wouldn't be battered and abused, the old would be taken care of and everyone would play an active part in their environment and society...

Oh I just realised while going off ranting that I might have misunderstood the whole objective of this thread

Sorry guys if I don't make any sense.
