Why do they call it penpals?

Ok everywhere I see, (well its actually every penpal site that I see) they all say to come and make penpals from all over the world. And here its the same case. Now I strongly don't object having penpals, heck, I have over 20 pals from all over the world, and believe me it is really cool.

And now back to our topic, uhhh... what was the topic again? Oh yeah, why do they call it penpals?!
Seems to me that every site is putting up false advertisement none of us r actually writing 2 each other with a pen, neither are we mailing it 2 each other.
We are all using the internet and we r using e-mail and other stuff. Would be really that hard to call it e-pals???


Any way enough with that, to be honest that was just my way of getting attention and hopefully it worked! Anyway I just want 2 say hello to everybody. And here it is "HELLO EVERYBODY, THIS IS TORONTO_BASHI!!!" Well there we go, my introduction is done. Hope to meet a few interesting people here, HOPEFULLY!!!

SINCE PENPAL IS IN COMMON USE, SO PPL. CALL IT THIS WAY. E-PAL IS FINE, PERHAPS MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. WE UNDERSTAND IT THAT WAY.

Erm...no answer to that I guess but I see where ur coming from. A suggestion! Perhaps raise it with the owners of the site - well, i think u have to go thro a moderator/admin first! But I wont make a big deal of it if I were u there are more important things to think about like people that are dying...have no food.....!!!
