You shouldnt rule it out because at the end of the day people are everywhere and everyone has feelings even over the net!!
however from a personal expeience i'd warn you to take each person with a pinch of salt as most people are not really themselves on the net!!

So you dont really get to knoe the people seriously as they are in real life.....hence you cant love someone if you dont really know what they're like.
